This Saturday and Sunday, December 10th and 11th, the Mateel Community Center in Redway will present the 35th annual Winter Arts Faire with honky tonk holiday cheer!

This year marks the 35th anniversary of this beloved holiday event featuring over 60 handmade artisan booths, delectable cuisine, diverse musical entertainment, children’s storytelling, and a visit from Santa both days (12-3pm). In keeping with the “Honky Tonk Holidays” theme, the kitchen will be serving up a cowboy/cowgirl meal of chili and barbeque, with cornbread and all the fixings, plus desserts, winter drinks, and lots of other tasty treats.

The Winter Arts Faire is one of the best holiday shopping opportunities in Humboldt. With everything from beautiful handmade jewelry, paintings and stained glass, to exquisitely crafted leather products, body care items, and unique clothing, folks may find a special gift for everyone on their lists. In keeping with the MCC policy for the Winter Arts and Summer Arts fairs, of showcasing only handmade-by-the-vendor items, shoppers will be supporting local creative vendors and non-profit organizations.

Musical entertainment will be provided by Humboldt Time, SoHum Girls, Ambush (acoustic), Frisky Brisket, The Garberville Town Band, Seabury Gould, Jefferson Parson, and others.

The 35th annual Winter Arts Faire will be open from 10am to 6pm both days, and costs only $3 per day.  Mateel Community Center members get in free, as do those under 12 and over 65. Mateel memberships will be available at the door for those wishing to take advantage of the free admission offer.

Winter Arts Faire will also be a drop off location for Toys For Tots, and attendees are encouraged to bring donations for this great Kiwanis Club program.  Please bring only new, unwrapped toys.

Come share in the holiday spirit at the 35th annual Winter Arts Faire this Saturday and Sunday, December 10th and 11th at the Mateel Community Center.
