Saturday & Sunday, December 8th & 9th, 2012 / 10am to 6pm both days
Mateel Community Center
$5 per day / Free to MCC members, under 12, & over 65
Celebrate the winter holidays while supporting local creative vendors, handcraft artisans, and non-profits! This year's theme: !
Coming up on Saturday and Sunday, December 8th and 9th, the Mateel Community Center in Redway will present the 36th annual Winter Arts Faire.
Bringing holiday cheer to southern Humboldt for 36 years, this beloved 2-day family event will feature nearly 60 handmade artisan booths, some delectable food by local chef, Courtney Gossett, diverse musical entertainment, children’s storytelling, and a visit from Santa both days (12-3pm). With this year’s theme the faire hopes to summon up the spirit of the impish little earth dwellers with their mischievous ways. There will be a “Find the Gnome” game with prizes for the kids and some gnome treasures to enjoy. The Winter Arts Faire represents one of the best holiday shopping opportunities in Humboldt for one-of-a-kind gifts and supports local creative vendors, handcraft artisans, and non-profit organizations.
The 35th annual Winter Arts Faire will be open from 10am to 6pm both days, and costs only $5 per day. Mateel Community Center members get in free, as do those under 12 and over 65. Mateel memberships will be available at the door for those wishing to take advantage of the free admission offer for this event and other discounts.
Winter Arts Faire will also be a drop off location for Toys For Tots, and attendees are encouraged to bring donations for this great Kiwanis club program. Please bring only new, unwrapped toys.
