Nestled in the center of a very creative theater community, Susan Alexander and Jenny Edwards have brought into our midst a wonderful new group of talented writers, actors, and directors in one of the Mateel's newest annual programs. Sponsored by the Mateel Community Center and funded in part by the North Coast Cultural Trust, the Random People Monologues Project has nurtured a dozen writers over a period of several months as they work to develop their own scripts for theatrical production.
Providing a heartfelt venue for the education of new writers and the support of existing community writers, together, this team delivers a set of eclectic monologues from the sparks of minds young and old. Going back into the local talent pool, the project then calls for a dozen directors and talented actors to bring these monologues to life on stage in an astoundingly wonderful and touching production. The program will culminate with several public performances of the play
in March 2007.
