The Mateel Digital Music Program offers select local youth, ages 13 to 18, the opportunity to learn from professional musician and recording engineer, Jeanne York. Providing instruction on state-of-the-art recording technology, students use the computer to compose and record midi, synth, and live audio music. Although it is currently a dormant program of the MCC, it typically runs for two 4 month sessions in the spring and fall, and offers intensive training for up to 10 participants per session, free of charge. Stay tuned to this page for updates on the next upcoming digital music session and how to get involved.
