In addition to a variety of annual events and festivals, the Mateel Community Center also presents a wide array of individual cultural and children’s events throughout the year. Meeting our obligation to enhance the diversity of cultural opportunities in our local area, the Mateel’s cultural event series offers cutting-edge and world class performances in genres ranging from theater and dance to music of every variety. Past performances have included The Mystical Arts of Tibet, Babatunde Olatunji & The Drums of Passion, Chitresh Das Dance Company, The Second City, Battlefield Band, Dell’ Arte Theater Company, Karashay with The Master Throat Singers of Tuva, The Wild Magnolias Mardi Gras Indians, and many others.
